Bagac hall of famer in nutrition
BALANGA CITY — The Municipality of Bagac emerged as hall of famer for winning three times in a row as the Most Outstanding Municipality on Nutrition awarded by the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
Bagac Nutrition Officer Myrna Patino received the award from PHO Head Dr. Rosanna Bucahhan witnessed by other municipal nutrition action officers.
Patino said that malnourishment rate among preschoolers in her town has been declining yearly.
The Municipality of Hermosa won 2nd place, followed by Morong, Abucay, and Pilar.
Meanwhile, Emma Mariano was hailed Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar.
Last week, nutrition and health officers in the province attended a seminar at the Provincial Health Office dubbed Social Entrepreneurialship as an Approach in Achieving Food Security.
