CEB announces newest South Korea route

THE Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific has launched its newest international route from Manila to Busan in South Korea.

Flights to Busan, the second-largest city in South Korea after Seoul, will commence on June 15.
CEB currently operates four times weekly flights from Cebu to Busan. It began operating the Cebu-Busan route in October of 2005.

To promote the new route, CEB offers P1,999 ‘Go Lite’ seats from Manila and Cebu to Busan and Seoul (Incheon). This is for sale from January 11-13 or until seats last, for travel from June 1-August 31. Those with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking.

After the seat sale period, the lowest year-round ‘Go Lite’ fare from Manila to Busan is P3,999.

Busan, with its approximately 3.5 million residents, is located on the southeastern tip of the Korean peninsula. It is well-known for its Haeundae Beach, the largest beach resort in Korea, and the Busan International Film Festival.

“We believe this added connectivity to the Philippines will further strengthen Cebu Pacific’s role in the nation’s tourism agenda. This is our 24th international route, and we hope to continue providing more access for foreign tourists to explore the Philippines,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

“Similarly, this gives a lot of Juans the chance to visit the beautiful city of Busan, where most Korean shows are filmed. After all, CEB is the only low-cost carrier from the Philippines flying to all three major North Asian countries of South Korea, Japan and China,” she added.

CEB operates the most extensive network in the country, utilizing 8 ATR 72-500, 10 Airbus A319 and 14 Airbus A320 aircraft. It is the only 100% brand-new aircraft fleet in the Philippines.

It flies to Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Seoul (Incheon), Shanghai, Singapore, and Taipei. It also flies to 33 domestic destinations, with inter-island flights from Cebu to Boracay, Dumaguete, Puerto Princesa and Iloilo, among others, as well as flights within Mindanao such as Davao to Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro.
