Folks thank guv for boats, health programs

HE people of San Simon expressed their gratitude to Governor Lilia Pineda during her State of the Province Address (Sopa) in Barangay San Jose on Thursday.
“Thank you Governor Nanay for the boats you gave us which we could use for fishing and during calamities”, according to the people of coastal barangays in San Simon.
San Simon officials also thanked the governor for helping the people of their town who need health attention.
Pineda received a very warm welcome from Mayor Leonora Wong, Vice Mayor Almario, town councilors, barangay officials, municipal employees, students and hundreds of residents coming from different barangays on her Sopa at San Jose Complex.
On her “Ulat Panlalawigan” Pineda reported her administration’s successful projects and other accomplishments on health, education, livelihood, agriculture, infrastructures, peace and order and environment protection.
Pineda was also proud and glad to announce that with the help of Wong, a small hospital will be built on the town soon.
This, she said, will be very helpful to the people of San Simon and nearby towns because anyone who needs urgent medical attention won’t have to go to JBL and other far district hospitals.
Pineda personally granted the PhilHealth cards to indigent people of each barangay through their barangay leaders. She also promised to pay more attention on agricultural projects after prioritizing health services.
Pineda also recognized the efforts of government agencies, Pampanga Vice Governor Joseller Guiao, Provincial Board members, department heads and employees, municipal mayors, barangay officials, non-government organizations and other sectors.
“I’m still not contented with these accomplishments. There are lots of things that need needs to be done”, Pineda said. (Aurora Catu)
