Cops nab car thief, stolen spare parts buyer

CAMP OLIVAS– A man was arrested in an operation in the City of San Fernando on Saturday for buying a stolen motorcycle.
Police identified the buyer of the stolen vehicle as Nimrod Serrano of Villa Purisima, Barangay Sindalan, City of San Fernando; while his seller, Joselito Pili, 27, of Barangay Pampang, Angeles City was also arrested for the alleged carnapped vehicle.

Before the apprehension of the two, police said a witness identified as Amobto Kone, 30, of the same barangay in Angeles City, reported that he saw Pili pushing a red Honda motorcycle along an alley near his residence in the morning of Saturday.

Later, in a follow up operation, police spotted and arrested Pili while he was roaming around a river bank in Barangay Pampang.
During the investigation, Pili told authorities that he already sold the motorcycle to Serrano.

Immediately police proceeded to Serrano’s house in the City of San Fernando and arrested him.
Recovered from Serrano were all the spare parts sold to him by Pili.

Pili will be charged with carnapping while Serrano will be charged with violation of the Anti- Fencing Law.
Both of the suspects, together with the recovered items, were brought to the Angeles City Police Office for proper disposition. ●Froilan E. Magtoto
