This is a luscious style of Savignon Blanc, with beautiful aromas of light flesh fruits and floral notes. There is a bit of texture and complexity on the palate, where an abundance of fruit has definitely extended.

User-friendly, crowd pleaser, not too buttery, good texture, a wine with fresh flavors of pineapple and peach that can also be enjoyed at the bar or with a variety of seafood and deep-fried dishes

2000     Chardonnay, Casa Lapostolle, Chile

Lapostolle was founded by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994. The Marnier Lapostolle family, founders and owners of the world-renowned liqueur Grand Marnier, is famous for producing spirits and liqueurs, but the family has also been involved in winemaking for generations.  Its objective is as simple as it is ambitious: to create world-class wines using French expertise and the superb terroirs of Chile.

2012     Chardonnay, Barefoot California, U.S.A.

Dripping with honeyed peach and Fuji apple flavors, it’s as smooth and golden as… gold. Medium-weight with a sweet vanilla aroma. Not intended to be a complex wine, this Chardonnay is quite yummy to drink on its own or served with seafood and white meat.

2006     Chardonnay, Botalcura Maule Valley, Chile

Rich and well-balanced, this wine pairs well even with Asian dishes, white meat, and vegetable curries.

2002     Gavi Dezzani, Piedmonte, Italy

This Gavi is fragrant and fruity, with nuances of apples and melons in the aroma. It has a dry, elegant taste with a refreshingly clean finish. Gavi di Gavi is suitable with all fish dishes, especially elegant preparations. This wine is ideal with pasta and seafood sauces, especially Linguine with clam sauce. Try it with appetizers or as an aperitif. Gavi is also great with fried fish, especially fried calamari.

1999     Grüner Veltliner, Brundlmayer Alte Rebe Trochen Oostenrij, Austria

Grüner Veltliner, from Austria, has recently become a darling of top American sommeliers after decades of obscurity outside of Austria.  It likely owes its success to its fantastic pairing abilities. A refreshing, medium-bodied, peppery white wine with stone fruit flavors, Grüner Veltliner goes with everything from green salads to cold poached salmon to roasted chicken. The best Grüners can be quite expensive and have enormous aging potential.

Light, refreshing, easy drinking, aromatic and very food-friendly, a white wine with aromas of pear and Meyer lemon, very appetizing as an aperitif or to enjoy with salad, white meat and fish.

2009     Pinot Grigio Ventu Maiuri, Sicily, Italy

A mutation of Pinot Noir, which it resembles in the field, Pinot Grigio is the Italian white wine most recognized by American wine consumers.  Pale, straw-yellow or very light copper in color with a bright and flowery fragrance. Firm acidity gives Pinot Grigio a mouth watering appeal. Generally offers nice mid-palate balance with a short, clean finish.

2011     Riesling, Cousino Macul, Chile

Light yellow in color, Cousiño’s Riesling is fermented to dryness to allow its bright, distinctive fruit to shine through. Its enticing aromas display tropical fruit, with hints of tangerine, evergreen, and citrus. The succulent flavors begin with melon and citrus fruit and continue with apple, orange peel and a hint of ginger.

1999     Riesling, Brundlmayer Zobinger Heiligenstein, Alte Reben Oostenrijk, Austria

This estate situated just outside of the Wachau, is probably the No 1 domaine in all of Austria.  Here Grüner Veltliner and Riesling are still kings.  Weingut Bründlmayer is situated in Langenlois, some 70 km north-west of Vienna, upstream along the Danube in the Lower Austrian Kamp Valley. The wooded hills of the Waldviertel protect the vineyards from the cold north-westerly winds. During the day, the sun warms the stony terraces, while at night the fresh, fragrant forest air drifts through the Kamp Valley into the Langenloiser Arena.  These wines are dry, mineral, powerful and well balanced.

2012     Sauvignon Blanc, Gunn Estate  Marlborough, New Zealand

Gunn Estate Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough is one of our most popular New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. The Gunn Estate has consistently delivered a high standard of varietal definition, good value for money.  This vibrant, slightly herbaceous white is a good accompaniment to fish, citrus salad, mussels or shrimp dishes also.

2009     Sauvignon Blanc, Sacred Hill, Halo, New Zealand

Very fragrant and lifted aromas of passion fruit, guava and snow peas. This wine has an explosive flavor on the palate with fresh tropical fruits mingling with delicate dried herb notes on the finish. There is a tremendous purity and intensity that gives the Sauvignon Blanc a textural depth and a seamless finish, a wine to enjoy with salad, shellfish, pork and white meat dishes.

2009     Sauvignon Blanc, Gougueheim, Argentina

Very pale green, bright; sweet ripe, grassy, lemony, grapefruit-citric aromas with a faint hint of mineral; very rich flavors. Crisp balance; long and silky finish, a fine white wine for sushi, cold cuts, cheddar cheese, salad, crab, pork chops and white meat.

2012     Sauvignon blanc, Three Rivers, Western Cape, South Africa

Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most widely planted wine grapes in South Africa which now rival New Zealand in the quality of these white wines.  The South Africa rendition of Sauvignon Blanc stresses refinement and restraint while delivering fruit-flavored wines with crisp avidity and attractive aromas, a good match for shellfish, salads, pork and Asian cuisines.

1999     Sauvignon Blanc Stellenzicht, Stellenbosch, South Africa

Stellenzicht is an old estate, highly respected in S. Africa for its wines.  This vintage white wine is subtle on the nose, delicate and complex on the palate, crisp and long finish, a good accompaniment for shellfish as well as salads and appetizers.

2009     Soave Dal Cero Corte Ciacobbe, Verona, Italy

Soave is the white wine of Venice and the Veneto and is well known as one of the world’s most food friendly wines. It is an ideal white wine for pairing with both simple and more complex dishes because of its high natural acidity and low alcohol.  Soave is also a terrific accompaniment to shellfish, also very friendly to pork, game and fowl.

2007     Viognier Santa Julia, Estate Grown & Bottled by Familia Zuccardi Mendoza, Argentina

The Santa Julia value-based line of sustainably-farmed wines from the famed Familia Zuccardi in Argentina are stand out values from a region that is abundant with great wines. The Viognier features nicely perfumed aromatics, plenty of juicy white peach flavors with a touch of honeycomb followed by a clean citrus finish. Excellent with lobster, scallops, crab cakes as well as salads, sushi’s, sashimi and white meat.
